During Washburn’s Homecoming, MacVicar Educational Foundation asks Alpha Delta Alumni and supporters to financially contribute to scholarships for current and new members of the fraternity for the upcoming academic year by becoming a Pearl of Support.

Each pearl exhibited on the fraternity's badge is supported by a $1000 scholarship. Alumni can support an entire pearl on their own, or collaborate with brothers to support a pearl, say as a pledge class, or as a memorial to a past brother, house mother, or another person of significance to the chapter.

Any size contribution is appreciated. Donations will be combined with others to support a $1000 pearl.

The goal is to raise $20,000 annually with the entire $20,000 being awarded to chapter members the following academic year.

If donations exceed the goal, the excess will be applied to the following academic year. It is intended that the Pearls of Support campaign be an annual event that Alpha Delta alumni support around Washburn Homecoming each year with money raised going to chapter members in subsequent academic years.
